Bow is a large secondary school in East London for 1,250 students. Between 2023 and 2024 the school’s energy bill increased by 60% driven by the increase in cost of energy. Bow school approached Elyos Energy in January 2024 to help reduce their energy costs.
Elyos Energy installed our Elyos Gateway to connect to the Building Management System and continuously download all the data points from the building in real time. We used Machine Learning to identify opportunities for savings. We remotely operated the BMS to optimize the scheduling, AHU parameters and set points. Elyos provided remote real time access to the BMS data for all relevant stakeholders.
In the first 6 months of operations, Elyos reduced the energy consumption by 15% which generated a 5X Return on Investment. Elyos worked within the specific requirements of the school to make sure that there was no impact on the comfort of the students in the school.
